When that happens the wrench light comes on, airbag light and the screen goes nuts.
You need to pull over, shut your truck off for at least a minute and it all comes back fine and usually the wrench symbol goes away.
Then contact your Ford dealer and insist they fix this due to the recall. Recalls are forever, don’t let them tell you they ended!
Btw, I was able to drive my truck after the downshift issue, but it’s best not to OR stay under 35 mph incase it drops on you. That way you don’t ruin your transmission.
The recall is for a module. Takes a few hours at the dealer to fix.
